James Song

A british-born Chinese multidisciplinary artist and tattooist. At the core of Song’s practice is a deep commitment to using art as a vehicle to empower others. He considers this the privilege of his lifetime. Central to his methodology is a humanistic approach: he takes the time to deeply understand his subjects and collaborators, building meaningful connections that inform and shape each piece. This process allows his work to move beyond aesthetics, becoming a shared experience rooted in trust, dialogue, and authenticity.

His work explores themes of fleeting moments, love, and intimacy, with the body serving as a living reservoir for emotion and storytelling. His recent work focuses on the evolving nature of love in the technological age, examining how connection, intimacy, and human experience are reshaped in an increasingly digital world. He has been commissioned by brands such as Adidas, Melia Hotel Group and Amano Hotel Group as well as collaborating on creative campaigns for Google and Palladium. He speaks on art, love, and technology including a TEDx talk.
